The grape harvest is in full swing now, and tractors carrying grapes are a common sight on the roads around here. While most of the larger vintners make their own wine and therfore press their grapes in the wine cellars at home, many of the smaller places sell their grapes at a central location. And after a day in the fields a little gossip shared is a welcome thing.
Gently rolling hills with a stand of trees, newly plowed fields, a meadow – spring time in Kainreith, Lower Austria.
Now that snow has finally arrived this year we see many more and different birds at the feeder in our back yard. I had noticed that the robins were absent until this little fellow showed up a few days ago. Personally, I think he/she postponed the visit until it could show off its lovely colors against the whiteness of the snow 😉
